Vintage Amp Room

Vintage Amp Room’s three guitar amps — White, Brown, and Green — are meticulously modeled on three iconic 1960’s amps that have earned their place in music history. Better still, Vintage Amp Room lets you “click-and-drag” to audition amps and change the mic position, dramatically altering your tones.

Metal Amp Room

Metal Amp Room features an expertly modeled version of one of the most punchy, aggressive high-gain amps available. With a smooth, articulate high end, near-infinite sustain, and a super fast, super tight gate for palm muting, Metal Amp Room includes two distinct 4x12 cabinet models and adjustable “click-and-drag” stereo mic setup.

Bass Amp Room

Clean and fat, distorted and aggressive, or anything in between, Bass Amp Room gives you a stunning 1970s bass amp model, and three different cabinets to choose from. It also serves up a DI section which can be EQ’ed, compressed, and shaped separately, and mixed in with the miked cabinet sound for maximum versatility.

The complete collection of Softube’s world-class guitar and bass amp models

Developed by Softube, the Amp Room Bundle for UAD-2 hardware and Apollo interfaces offers an unrivaled collection of modern and vintage guitar and bass amplifier emulations. From old-school cool to savage metal, the Amp Room Bundle also sports powerful click-and-drag mic placements to expertly dial in your tones.

GREAT amp modeling plugin for both guitar and bass!

The Vox and Fender amp models are very nice and great representations of those types of amps. Especially the vibrato/tremolo effect model. Very useful. The bass model is awesome too. All around great tool for all kinds of guitar and bass textures for songwriting. I've so far tried this plugin with the following guitars and basses and they all sound great: Fender Strat, Fender Tele, Gibson SG Classic (P90 pickups), Gibson Les Paul Deluxe (minibucker pickups), Rickenbacker 4003 bass, Fender Precision, Gibson EB-3.

    Great for my strat

Perfect combo with a strat ( vintage pickups) Not unison enabled but i use it with the( Neve ) preamp in unison which is a great combo for tracking.

My advice is take your time to learn the amps and to tweak the sounds.

    Softube Definitely not UAD

Not to impressed with this plug-in. definitely not a UAD plugin. Nothing like the video, or at least I couldn't get it to preform very good. As an Amp Simulator I would not recommend it, there's a lot of them out there that are a lot better in my opinion.

    Amp Room Bundle of Joy!

I have thoroughly enjoyed playing thru these amps. I insert an amp into the unison insert point and it sounds amazing! One of my favorite plugs for sure.

    Must Have

The Softtube’s amp gives a warm and rich sound. I love that you can customize the cabinets and mics and while this is not exclusive to this plug-in, I find it to be super intuitive and fun to work with.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, you’ll need an Apollo audio interface, UAD-2 Satellite, or UAD-2 PCIe card to run these plug-ins, using the onboard DSP. The plug-ins run on the hardware itself, without adding strain to your computer’s CPU. In an Apollo, onboard DSP processing allows you to run realtime UAD plug-ins with near-zero latency, and even record that processing directly to your DAW.

This refers to the number of SHARC DSP processors in Apollo and UAD-2 hardware. A DUO core system has twice the amount of processing power compared to a SOLO core system. More SHARC DSP cores increases the number of UAD-2 plug-ins you can run on the hardware.

No, Satellites provide DSP to run UAD-2 plug-ins in your DAW.

Yes, you can start a fully functional 14-day demo from any plug-in bundled with the UAD software. Simply click “Start Demo”, and start using it in your DAW.

UAD-2 licenses follow the hardware, it does not matter which computer they are connected to. You can have up to six UAD-2 devices registered to a system in your Universal Audio account, which share those licenses. See UAD-2 Plug-In Licensing Explained for full details. Authorisation of UAD-2 hardware is managed by the UAD Meter & Control Panel Application.
