not expected so good!
I bought because it was in offer and it's one of my first option when I have to dedice between compressors. It's very easy to use and tight compressor for drums, synth bass. Nice one!

And now I’ve got a box full of UA
they really make a difference and I have since “waved” goodbye to the others

My last tape sim
After buying a handful of different tape sims from other companies, I finally found what I had been looking for in the UA Studer. Lovely 3D saturation and coloration without ever sounding choked or constricted. I especially enjoy using this plug on drum bus to add depth and low end, and it does something magical in terms of massaging transients into place. The other tape sims I own aren't bad, but I honestly won't need them moving forward, because the studer does it all better and with more control options.

Think This Is What My Voice Needed...
It took the YouTube exclusive promo with the hip hop track to make me pull the trigger on this one. Easy to use, took next to no time at all to dial in tones I liked for myself and others, and just looks nice aesthetically. VERY pleased with this.

I've been wanting UAD's Minimoog for a while and it does not disappoint. I love pairing it with the Galaxy Tape Echo and other analog emulators for a really warm and evolving sound. A+

Great emulation and lots of fun
I immediately started using this on tracks. Sounds great and really emulates the feel and tone of the original. I've only messed with originals a few times, but this really captured what I had experienced in an affordable and usable format. Has lots of bass too - not weak sounding like many vst synths. Very close to analog sounding!

What can you say about most of these plug-ins? They really are top-drawer. Obvs the 1176’s and LA-2a’s are go-to and the Capitol gear is bang on…but the new sound city and original UA 175B and 176 compressors are breathtaking. So much musical character.

It definitely smooths out the tracks without altering them in a negative way or straight adding tape his like some claim. It’s absolutely an upgrade over oxide.
