I'm very happy with the Avalon plug-in. It's very easy to use. It brightens, smooths, warms, has nice presets. Just what I needed for vocal tracks.

Good God Almighty this is a stunner!

At last, it feels like I'm playing on a real Moog. This is outstanding and the sound is so warm and creamy. Congratulations, UAD, on nailing this. I thought everyone knew it was only for LUNA, so I'm baffled as to why people are slamming this gorgeously accurate emulation for being linked exclusively to the UAD recording system. LUNA is going to be the next gold standard of recording, anyway - it's that good, and it just keeps getting better, so I have no qualms in investing in it and its extensions now. Five stars all round.

Bass and Vocals

Wouldn’t describe it as transparent, but wouldn’t describe it as overly colorful either. Great on bass and vocals in particular. Nice even compression and a fantastic EQ for general tonal shaping.

The legacy version gave me a taste but previewing the full version really shows off what it can do , the upgrade is worth it

Ich muss sagen, dass ich vom Sound des Plugins echt überzeugt bin und es wahnsinnig authentisch finde. Ich werde meine UAD Rechenleistung jetzt wohl erweitern um mehr Plugins gleichzeitig nutzen zu können!

Wow! My favorite!

I tried this as a demo and instantly went and purchased it! Run most of my vocals through it. Also it’s super easy to use, and plenty of presets to get you started.

I put it on almost everything but what this does to the vocals is amazing! Try it! you’ll love it!

Big Bottom

Been a while since I’ve played with a 2” machine, but this plugin is very reminiscent of how we used to use Studer 2” machines to fatten up the bottom and smooth out the top end for things that were recorded digitally. Used to bounce stuff to tape and back Prior to mixing. Enjoy the different character the plugin gives with the different cal levels, tape speeds and the different heads. Makes it really easy To dial in the right character for drums, overheads, bass, and guitars. The only feature I wish they would add is an option for Dolby SR. Definitely would recommend for anyone working on rock, R&B or rap.
