Avalon SP 737
Hi, I have an apollo twin quadcore. I love the quality of the mic pre's. I have tried pluggin's for my interfaces for a number of years and I hired an Avalon 737 to compare the difference. I cant help but notice that I was able to get a slightly more sonically better recording on an accoustic guitar...which is what I was looking for. Im not sure if software pluggins will ever satisfy my desire for a better sounding recording. I guess time and a lot of coin will tell.

I've been revisiting some old mixes and this plugin makes me look like I know what I'm doing. Because of the 5 minute tips by Ben I had to try it. If you're a folk/folk rocker who's more interested in your songwriting than mixing try it out. It will take you where you want to go with its clean sound and simplicity.

Future Minimoog plugin without the Luna
I recently purchased the Apollo x4 audio interface and are very happy with it. Using it together with Ableton Live, it was a disappointment to discover the Luna-only offering of the Minimoog. The Minimoorg by Moog is already out there for iPad, and it sounds fantastic. Following traditional marketing strategies, I am confident that the plugin will be released soon as a UA plugin as well. So have patience my friends. Meanwhile, the iPad version costs almost nothing.
