Teletronix® LA-2A
After using the original version for the last couple of years this new collection was a obvious add on. I use the LA2A on all vocals.It is one of my goto plugins on all projects. Plain and simple it is great.

Lovely Compression for a really good price
I just love the 1176 series.
Especially when it comes to drum or drum buss compression - the 1176AE is a real weapon. The superslow attack doesn't kill the dynamics and it makes a real punchy and in-your-face sound.
The 1176 Rev E is a nice tool for compressing piano or guitar sound, to make them more compact and let them fit in the mix.

1176 Classic Limiter Plug-In Collection
It's been a while and probaly worth the wait since the first incarnation of the 1176 on the UA platform. The collection offers 3 true emulatios but i tend to use the "SILVER" one the most - it's just the thickest of them all - good on vocals & on beats. The "GREY" offers some use on the bass or when some some dirt and grit is needed. I really enjoy this new coded versions over the classic one, they add just a bit more tone, harmonics and reality!

It's special, the design is special but beautiful, no waveform or others "usable" graphics, just sliders and digit numbers.
But what a sound, that's unique, wonderful, specially with voices but not only by far!
The best UAD plugin for me because its quality and exclusiveness.

Hello! Teletronix® LA-2A Classic Leveler Collection loved it! I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of compression - good breaks MIX. It is a pity that requires a lot of resources on the chip UAD (UAD Solo on about 25%)

UA just keep raising the bar. This really is another evolution in the standard of tools available to us in the digital world.
Does simply placing this plugin in the signal path improve things? Yes! Does it sound like the hardware? Yes!
I don't have an original 1A here in my studio at the moment so I can't do a proper A/B, but this plugin instantly gives me the feel I am looking for, the same feel I have always got when using the hardware. Is it going to be exactly the same as the hardware? Well, no! But try to find two hardware units that are exactly the same as each other! It sounds like a Pultec.
An amazing update, a great price, low DSP hit, and THAT sound!!!
Once again UA you have captured and recreated magic.

What's going on here? I own the Pultec Pro, and use it often. Is UA repackaging it with another module, and charging $299 for it? Is this a complete reworking of the plugins? If so, is there reduced pricing for owners of the old ones?

Best Emulations Available
I've used every other 1176 based plugin. None of them can do what these do in terms of distortion. Very easy to dial in nice grit. With the others it has always been either too little or way too much.

Unbelievably Smooth
Didn't really like the old one as it's a bit harsh but this one UAD really nailed it. It now lives up to all those hypes about these EQs. It's incredible how I can add mid-range tone and nice clean air into my tracks without any harshness!

Dozens of 1176s for a few hundred?!
My favorite sounding compressor plug in. Most compressor plugs lose texture and punch when compared to good analog compressors, however these have all of the punch and grit of the hardware original(s). An absolute no brainer, must have plug in.

I am a musician and audio engineer.
I always liked sounds more real and true, I depended on my masters from a studio that had a complete master, it was bad because I needed to adjust something and spent much more $ $, going up to the studio to resolve a detail. For a long time the hardware was indispensable for a good mix and master, with the UAD plugins solve everything in my home studio with the same quality and mainly Manley that for me there is no difference between hardware and plugin
it is perfect!!
