love this plug
I have had my issues with UA in the past but when the gear works there is nothing that compares in terms of software. others may be catching up and I think UA know they need to change certain aspects of their products and pricing but with the amount of sales available on the site and the quality of the product, we can have few complaints when they get it as right as this. One of my fave plugs. it's a great tool to sculpt sound and refine tracks.
Love this plug!
I didn't know whether to give this plug 4 or 5 stars. 5 is a tad too strong but is also a lot to do with the fact that this is still tech that will only get better. Loyal/existing customers should have a better discount tho, when it comes to revamped plugs!

Hooked for life
I can't begin to tell you how much I love this thing. I'm a podcaster and care deeply about the presentation of the voices on my show, and this plugin is outstanding. It allows me to create a forward, razor sharp sound with just enough color to keep things interesting. The Gate is fantastic and incredibly fast and the filters are incredibly useful.

Nice sound. You can push it pretty hard before it starts to sound to unnatural. Now I just need more disp power.

What a difference!
I've been fighting this one track, for over a year and a half, trying to get the vocals and drums, to sit in right, and play nice with the other instruments. I used the LA-2A Gray on the drums and the Silver on the vocals, and wow, what a difference! After a year and a half! Truly a wonderful plugin collection! Kudos!

Fairchild Vocals
I have no idea how I ever thought vocals sounded good until I ran them through this Fairchild 660.
They are unbelievable how now the vocal sits out front with no effort at all... The tone is warm yet with enough
fullness to hold it's center in a song or a film cue.... fantastic device! highly recommend.

The LA-2 package is outstanding. It's as good as anything I have in my racks from UREI. Well done engineers.

38 years of using the hardware version
Ok, so now you know I'm an old analog guy. It was real hard to give up reaching over and turning my UREI products by hand, (and I still do on occasion) but the emulation is pretty realistic on the 1176. I'm a big LA-4 fan so I am waiting for UAD to market that limiter in a DSP version. I will be one of the first to purchase. There is a noticeable difference between the UAD versions of the 1176 and other marketeers. The UAD is definitely more what is sitting in my rack . Nice job engineers!

trés bel EQ, multiples utilisations
il sonnent mieux que pas mal d'autres versions d'autres fabricants......!!! et que la version legacy ! normal !pas forcement simple a utiliser, enfin il faut connaitre l'architecture pultec! mais cela sonne, vraiment c'est tout simplement joli!

The difference maker
I was a bit skeptical about tape saturation plug-ins. My friend said it was making a huge improvement to his mixes so I bit the bullet and bought the Oxide Tape Recorder plug-in. I have to say this plug-in is the difference maker. Its the biggest single improvement I have done to my mixes. The demo videos I have watched don't do it justice.
I highly suggest everyone to try this out and hear for yourself what magic it can do to you mixes.

Best High/Low cut filter!
This is worth the price for the high/low cut filter alone..... Removes those unwanted frequencies, but adds a bunch of character instead.

This compressor is as smooth as I've heard. There is a vibe to it as well. It has made a big difference on many tracks. I highly recommend it.

The 1176-Collection is my all time favourite plug-ins. These 3 compressors find it's way into Logic everytime I work on a project. They are very musical and I enjoy every minute with the 1176...especially the Blue stribe.

Significant upgrade over legacy version
Loving this collection on everything, especially on drums and guitars. The difference between the legacy version and mkII seems especially apparent when using higher compression ratios. The AE version with the slower attack is a very useful upgrade too. Will be using these often!

I'm back :) and miss this one
My favourite Fairchild plugin emulation.
I was away from UAD for some time, because I've run out of PCie and now with the Thunderbolt versions it make think of it again. I miss some plugins and this one is by far the best emulation I've heard of a Fairchild.

How many 1176 Emulations does a cat need?
Well if you haven't got this collection, the answer is obviously more. I'm new to the UAD platform, and was already INCREDIBLY impressed with the Legacy 1176s bundled with my Apollo, but these are even better. Very fond of the Rev E on Bass Guitar and Vocals, the saturation the plug-in adds is incredible. Something that would've taken 2 or 3 extra plug-ins to achieve with another developers plugs. Incredible.
