I was glad to finally get my hands on this lexicon reverb, the sound of this thing is cool than a fan. Love the thickness of the verb, you can go wrong with having this in your arsenal.

More subtle than an 1176
I've used it on bass and trumpet so far and it's easy and forgiving to abuse. If I don't like the aggressiveness of the 1176, the LA-3A seems to be the solution.

UAD-2 Studer A800 Reigns Supreme Over All Other Tape Emulations.
I've been a fan of tape since I first started. The way it tames harmonics and warms the sound making it feel more smooth might be too subtle for some to pinpoint what it is but you can FEEL the difference. It makes everything more cozy. Ive tried tape emulations from Waves, Nomad Factory, you name it, but none come close to UA's Studer A800.
