Vital Pre for Vocals
The fact that I can set things how I need them on this pre, and get vocals that need very little mixing is astonishing to me. Being able to use this with Unison is awesome, because it let's me hear the output with virtually no latency. This plug speaks for itself, considering everyone I know with UA interfaces use it.

Dbx - just as I remember
I worked in a studio in Glasgow years ago that had two of these classic compressors - it's so faithful to the way they reacted and sounded. This is such a good compressor for parallel vocal compression!! Not to mention a solid go to compressor for Kick and Snare. If you haven't got this then seriously consider it your next purchase.

I thought my mix was done !
I was completing two mixes in Luna for a client . The first mix was finished and we were all very happy with it . The second song just needed something so I tryed the Ampex and really loved what it did . So much that I had to try it on my finished mix . It also just gave it thst something special that made everyone in the room get chills ! It’s incredible

Refreshed and my 5 stars now!
I own the UAD LA-3A plug-in since day 1 but I only used it occasionally. With this new ‘refreshed’ version of the LA-3A I started using this plugin in all my latest mix-projects. I should have been able to make the LA-3A work for me before, but now, for the first time, I have a personal connection with this plug-in. My 5 stars!!

2nd review, a few months in on these
One Star Down, when using these two in series, they are difficult to match up because the I/O Gain Detants are a bit on the coarse side, and the HR control detants are exactly the same, ( no hope for in between tweaks )
One Star Back UP, these two together SOUND BETTER THAN THE FAIRCHILD when you want to lay in a clean smash ...and of course are much more flexible for the same price also
