Another compressor with a different character
I already have a lot of different compressors from UA and I thought that was enough. However, when I started playing the LA2A demo, I immediately wanted to buy it. Works very well with 1176 or Fairchild

Perfect on my synths, gives punch and smooth the 'digitalness'...
Plus the 'mix' potentiometer allows easy parallel compression on bus or master.

Immediately became one of my favourites.
I fell in love with this compressor because it filled the hole in my collection between ones that too bold or too soft. Don't get me wrong, this thing can be aggressive and almost invisible too. A must have, in my opinion.

Like most everything UAD, this sounds great with very little effort. And when you run it thru a battery of technical tests it confirms on graphs the same high quality already heard by the ears.
