Virtual Room Mic's - Nailed
I've owned the Ocean Way Studios plug-in for years and it has certainly been an incredible tool for sessions I inherit without good room mic's for drum recording. To have yet another space available with the Sound City emulation is fantastic. Whilst I'm not about to state that a lack of room mic's is no longer an issue, both of these tools provide an excellent solution when drums and other instruments require an ambient addition to close mic' configurations.

Note off DC Click & Bashed Hard Samples, no way to not use them
I read the reviews and thought this would be a great addition to the amazing synths UA has made but there are some flaws that make this a piano I likely will never use in its current state. Instead of a nice note off sample with a little thunk to it, there is a very loud click that equals their note off sample choice which doesn't sound realistic and once you hear it, you will never play and not hear it. Thankfully there is a "Release Level" slider to turn this off (it's at Max volume by default). The bigger problem is that the hardest hit samples have a almost painful hammer attack to them and I have not found any patches that didn't use these hardest hit samples. Even the velocity controls don't give you an absolute Min/Max so you could window below these samples - so if you're playing really loud intense rock, this piano might fit in perfect, of if you play with a feather touch, but I play full range and find this Rhodes sample set (at 8GB) is not useful for me. 1st disappointed purchase of anything UA makes, ever.

Just the right tweak, like the hardware.
It’s amazing to see, that software gives you the sparkle like the hardware. Easy to use..

Just like cowbell, you can never have enough reverb and this one is absolutely worth adding to your tool kit.

not getting it
first of all,i am 100% a fan of UA ,and possibly do not understand the benefit of turning on the full plugin, which involves turning on the mic setup,and dealing with a boxy overbearing room sound. using it in its simplest form, added detail that was extremely desirable, but beyond that,im guessing I missed the point.i have strived for the cleanest pure sound, and UA has allowed that to happen,thru luna,and magnificent plugins. 100% fan. using this plugin turned up slightly without the microphones on vocal's worth what I paid for it, except it forces me to upgrade my 2015 Mac,because this thing loves eating cpu.5 stars for the small part I use.

Great sounding rooms
I'm a big fan of virtual rooms in general in how they can make a dry recording sound like it was recorded in an actual room. And imo, these are among the best sounding virtual rooms out there. Of course they all have their own flavor and these get a lot of use. These also have excellent flexibility with the full chain and reverb only modes.

Great Plugin BUT...
Native only?! Seriously?! First they release the Capitol Mastering Compressor, which is an AWESOME plugin btw but, when asked why no DSP version came out, they told us is because most people would be using it for mastering applications and blah blah blah....I wonder what they will say about this one now? C'mon guys show us some UAD love, please! Being able to load it up in Console etc. is the ONE thing that sets you apart, don't let it die out so easily!

Why did I spend all this money on my UA interface and purchased plugins?
First things first. If Dave Grohl took the console out of Sound City, how am I able to use Sound City’s console? Did that emulation work happen in a different location?
With native only support. UA is alienating its best customers, apparently for the sole purpose of being able to tap into the subscription as a service model. I am starting to wonder if my $5k+ investment in UA was a wise move. Three stars until ARM compatibility.

Toller Sound, schreckliche Usability
Eigentlich ist das Plugin toll. Aber die UA Connect App ist echt schlecht. Man braucht immer Internet, wenn es kurz weg ist, geht das Plugin nicht mehr. Schön, wenn man exportiert und dann merkt, dass im Export auf einmal was fehlt. Eine Wiederverbindung der UA App funktioniert nicht, man muss den ganzen Rechner neu starten.
Und das passiert hier also mehrfach pro Sitzung, da ich das Internet übers Handy erhalte und auch mal weggehe vom Rechner, der daraufhin die Verbindung verliert.
Wäre alles kein Problem, wenn die App sich wenigstens wiederverbinden würde. Auch per Task-Manager beenden geht nicht. Der Rechner muss neu gestartet werden.

I like it, better than all the plugin I have who do the same (like Fame reverb etc...) more complete...
Ocean Way in Native will be great with the same option (EQ, dynamics, Chamber etc...)
And my dream is the possibility to select the console: SSL, Neve, API for example
