Great tape sim, especially for the price.
I'm a sucker for tape plugs. I've tried all the competition, and this one is my go to. I'm looking to buy the Ampex and Studer plugs as well, because they have a little more flexibility, but the Oxide is still a phenomenal plug on its own. I love putting this on my Drum Buss because it tends to make the low end a little fuller and the top end a little more "silky." Real nice, buy it!

FANTASTIC EMULATION
UAD nailed the tones of this compressor. We have one at the studio I work out of and the A/B comparison is outstanding. Love the warmness they add.

Undoubted classic
I don't know how close this is to the hardware, but probably it doesn't matter to me as they sound superb

The Real Deal!
The digital world has been attempting to emulate the magic of analog tape from its inception. Those of us that came from the days of tape have learned to accept digital recording for many reasons but in reality the magic of tape has been missing. We have tried many of the tape emulation plugins over the years but until this one became available none added the characteristics we heard by recording to tape. If you don't have it, buy it today. You will not be disappointed.

Amazing !
Absolutely blows my mind how good these LA-2A units sound. Been using them on a couple of dance/electronica tracks for vocals for a client. Very easy to set up and behave like the 'real thing' as near as I can tell - have been making music for over 30 years, never owned but have used the original gear many many moons ago.
At GBP 115 for all three 'versions' it's a total no-brainer - grab this bargain now !!

Is getting better and better
Wow! Many years ago I had the first generation UAD PCi Card using the Legacy version of LA-2A. I used it on almost every possible track. Now, with my new Apollo Twin USB, I thought I will give the new collection a try so I bought it right away. Yes, I know it costs a lot, but what a difference!!! Really love the Grey one, wich brings my voice to a new level. The combination of Unison 610 mic pre and LA-2A gets me the feeling of singing in a $10 million studio.

Game Changer
I've been reluctant to go from recording to 8 track Tape to completely digital setup, as I value the warmth and compression that tracking to Tape gives you. This plugin has finally persuaded me to take the leap. I honestly can't hear a difference between the Oxide plugin or real tape. In fact I might say that this plugin sounds warmer than my tape machine!
.
Love the CCIR EQ setting
I love the way the CCIR EQ setting gives a vintage brightness to the tone. Along with the beautiful saturation I can get with it, I normally choose this over the 6 other tape plug-ins I own.

Simple to use and I dig!!!
I bought this set of plugins after trying it on the kik and Snare channels.
It solved the problem of getting the click of the Kik not to seem seperate from the Boof and I had been endlessly tweaking the channel previously to its purchase trying to get rid of that problem. The Snare had way more body and the snap was easily softened by it.
Like the 1176 collection has a different place to use it.
I used the prehistoric LA 2A on the Kik and a different one on the Vocals and likewise the snare.
I would say i am not a tweakhead but that would be a lie when in comes to the overall mix.
I don't want to get bogged down in endless tweaking of compressors, pedals or plugins. There's enough to do.
I dig It!!!

Hardware Vs Plugin...
Since I bought the pack UAD 1176, my Universal Audio 1176LN compressor (hardware) has been a little sad. It`s really amazing the work they have done with these plugins !!!

Super Plugin
I am a big compressor fan and although I like my hardware units of a different make, I really liked these plugins when I purchased them.
They have a sound and that is what I like. Each one of the three reacts differently and has its own best place of use.
So glad I bought them and in truth motivated me to go revisit mixes done before my purchase.
Not for the faint of heart though.

Still my favorite chorus!
I've tried all the Dim D emulations and some other similar choruses and I always come back to this one because it works so well in a mix. It doesn't give you that heavy wobbly effect that many choruses do, it works more as a widening effect and it can be used on lots of different sources.
I'll knock one point off because they didn't include a mix knob in the new version now that they had a chance to. It would make it so much easier to use.

Lush chorus
So far very happy this is a really lush chorus!

Silver、Gray、Original

Incredible quality
The Best 1176 emulation around

Great
Great. №1 for drums and percussion. Small pale Kick began to sound tight and confident. Lonely Snare made friends with the song. Only two handles - INPUT and OTPUT! Magic!

Amazing!!!
I also own the studer and the ampeg, but the oxide sound different: warm, Punchy.. Love it, Easy to use.
Simply amazing.
The best I've heard.
Great job UA!!!!

Great!
The best BBD plug in i`ve heard, it comes very close to the original CE-1. Great on Guitars, Wurli / Rhodes and Synthesizers like DX 7 and my beloved PPG Wave 2 and PPG 360 Wave Computer. The Brigade Chorus Pedal gives a smile to all Synthesizer plug ins too :)
Well done....and cheers.

Great plugin for a great price.
Great little plug. I also own the Ampex ATR-102 and at first thought that would be enough, but the Oxide is capable of putting a great little lofi crunch on guitars, bass, etc -- just enough to warm it up and give it some grit, a little edge, and cut off some of those hi's to give it some of that analog tape vibe (if that's what you're going for...which I am!)

Sound is good like the original!
It sounds impressively similar to the original Boss stump pedal, but I've always missed the possibility to adjust the chorus rate on the original pedal, not only the vibrato rate, so I suggest that UA would give us this opportunity, (e.g. a switch for chorus on the rate button). I have a newer Boss CE-3 stereo chorus with rate, depth and stereo mode (Left=Direct, Right=Effect or Left=D-E, Right=D+E) which sound quite similar, but with the "rate" adjustment set to slow rates it sound quite similar to the Dimension D and to up-speed rates more like a fast Leslie-rotor effect.
