Great!
Does it sound exactly like the real thing? No. Does is have the same impact on your music? Yup. It just works. I love reverb, but hate reverb plugs. I don't hate this one. I also spent a few hours with the plate settings trying to mimic the emt 140. I can get pretty darn close. Good job UA.

More than compression
I own two ancient LA 3A's and this plug-in sounds and acts just like the hardware. It adds a fatness and warmth when balanced and entertaining distortion when pushed. More than a compressor, it is an effect that can give a an individual instrument it's own signature in a mix.

Not my go-to reverb, but indispensable
Anyone growing up listening to Eno, Lanois, U2 et al will probably recognize the wonderful sounds coming out of this plugin. I still can't say that I use this for vocals and particularly drums, because it sounds a bit 'dated' to my ears. But for atmospheric guitar work it's unlike any other reverb I've ever used. So lush yet sits so right in the mix.

Lexicon Reverb
This is pretty close to the real thing. Very easy to manipulate and sounds great! Definitely my first option when wanting to add an extra dimension to recordings.

A blast from the past!
This verb has all the feel of the hardware. I've used this many times and wish I had it in my studio and NOW I DO! This really has a good sound look and vibe to it. I cant say that I'll ever use the Lexicon plugin again after using this 224. UA did it better then the maker of the unit!

Best Reverb Plugin I have ever had...
I have never tried the hardware, but this plugin has reinterpreted the concept of using reverb in my home studio. My vocal recording and all other recordings (i.e.: guitars, hard synths) sound conceptionally different and much better, they have come into life. The chorus sound great on my vocal recording. I will use it very often in my sessions!!!

An elegant weapon from a more civilised age
Sweet and warm enveloping sound that sits comfortably in the mix. Not as random or clumsy as the modern convolution reverbs. An elegant weapon from a more civilised age.

Can't live without it.
Through an unfortunate series of events, I recently lost the authorization for my Lexicon 224 and my Ampex ATR-102 plug ins. I was devastated. I have a huge arsenal of plug-ins from nearly every plug in manufacturer—over 40 reverbs—but I was unable to find any 'verb that sounded the same, or as good. I had no choice but to repurchase both plugs. I know this is supposed to recreate some 80's hardware unit, but really, it's the best sounding reverb I own, bar none. It's so smooth, you forget it's on the track. Take it away and you're scrambling to find a suitable replacement. It goes on sale once in a while, and when it does, do yourself a favor and get this plug. The ATR-102 is also great; I'll review it separately.

this is the absolute best software reverb i know.
just buy it. it's so responsive yet it will not overload your mixes, it has lots of "Air", also amazing controls, very detailed.

blown my mind
Incredible. The tails are so full and have given my mixes that sound that I have been looking for, for years!

Playing with the BIG boys now with the Lexicon 224.
The Lexicon 224 immediately creates likeable spaces and environments that can be tailored to any mix. It's such an unmistakable sound and I my ears prick up with excitement when i hear it in tracks from years gone bye. We are really playing with the BIG boys now with toys like the 224.
Just love it !!! David Lynch www.diamondrecordings.com.au

Complex but Interesting
A beautiful reverb when you get it right. There are a lot of controls and you can do anything with it (you can also get it wrong). The presets are very helpful to keep you on the straight and narrow if you lose your way whilst fiddling. The Small Hall A setting is stunning.

224 - a real Lexicon!
What a great Reverb! Lovely lush sounds and deep spaces! Wonderful Pluggie!

Lush rush
Great for filling the space between the listener and the back wall--when used in conjunction with a dark setting on 140, really provides definition without being brittle. If I only had one reverb, it would be the 140, but the Lexi (and the 250) are great compliments.
