I recently had the pleasure of using the Oxide Tape Recorder plugin, and I must say, it has exceeded my expectations in every way. As someone who values high-quality audio recording and playback, this plugin stands out as an exceptional tool for both amateur and professional musicians alike.

I've read somewhere that Oxide is a simplified version of the Studer Tape plugin, with an inbuilt set of adjustments. DOn't know if it's true or not, but it sounds very different out of the box, and you'd struggle to get Studer to match the sound of Oxide by tweaking its individually adjusted parameters.

Oxide sounds great, it's refreshingly easy to use, and if you want that particular tape profile - which is great, round and warm, but clean at the same time - without having to wrestle to make Studer sound similar - I haven't succeeded, but I haven't tried too much, to be honest - it's definitely a good addition to the tape collection, especially since the price is not one you're gonna feel sorry about.
