AS HARD AS IT IS FOR ME TO ADMIT SINCE I'VE BEEN IN LUV WITH THE 1073 PREAMP FOR SO LONG, THIS ONE IS SO MUCH BETTER!!! KILLER PREAMP, GET IT!

I am happy! Only one issue: under Windows all UAD-2 plugins are still not scalable...
We are in 21st century, in AI age, so all plugins must be scalable...

Nobody has ever complained about the sound. ;) I couldn't be any more pleased. Thank you UA and especially Bill Putnam Sr. and Jr. for delivering the goods right on time.

I don’t know the 1084 like I know the 1073, but now I can use them both and see what’s best! And in real time while recording. That’s amazing!

Like so much of UA's gear, this changed my recording game in a big way. Having only recorded with a real Neve channel strip once in my life, I thought I'd never be able to acheive such sounds again without dropping big money in a proper studio. After researching the differences between the 1073 and the 1084, I decided to drop my money on the 1084, and it worth every penny. Full blow flavor in so many ways. Having three separate outputs leads to creating incredible tones that don't blow your gain staging out of the water. Lately, I've been recording full sessions this week using it on every channel and all I can say is I can't believe what I'm hearing. Combining the Unison technology into my recordings really has given me the confidence to experiment with tones that otherwise we not acheivable with my former analog gear. If you're on the fence, jump down immediately and join the fun, you won't regret it.
