Universal Audio does it again
I've been using UA software since the first UAD card. I can't imagine working without much of UA's software. So I had high expectations.
So far I haven't been disappointed. The console offers lots of flexibility. Guitarists will find apollo and the Softube Vintage Amp Room very attractive. Lo/no latency combined with the top notch amp sim plug make it a joy record guitars.
I've been running very memory heavy film-score sessions in Logic with the apollo and have had absolutely stable performance.
I recommend it highly.

Well thought out, sounds amazing
Very impressed with my Apollo Quad, this is my first experience with the UAD2 plugins, and I am very impressed with the richness and authentic variations of the sounds that emanate from them. Th Mic pre's are ultra clean, and the ability to track with plugins with no latency is the main reason I bought it......big thumbs up! Ca't wait to get the LA-2A bundle!!!

Sounds as good as the hype!
This unit is astoundingly great! The converters contend with my Apogee AD16x, and the preamps sound crystal clear. The zero latency monitoring has my clients enjoying their recording experience even more than before. Great product!

Finally!!
I title this review Finally because as a windows computer owner the Apollo has surpassed my every expectation in areas traditionally owned by Mac users. I purchased the Apollo quad and already had two UAD2 quad cards in my pc. The sheer power of this system is not only awesome but extremely stable with Pro tools 10.
The ability to record through Universal Audio's world leading plugins is a feature that in my opinion has revolutionized how ITB recording , mixing and mastering is done.
It's not just the throughput the Apollo affords , but as a freelance producer and small studio owner , the creativity that the Apollo inspires is priceless. A real game changer. Now, let's get windows Thunderbolt support.

Apollo quad
This thing really delivers on the concept....it's clean and clear as is, with a confident if a bit clinical sound in the preamps and ad, but then you can add infinite color with the many, many plugin options. All the tape sims I've used before have be basicallydistortiongenerators...the ua studer is the first I've come across, and I've tried a lot of them, that sounds great. The apollo offers musicians and home studios the ability to really sound great. And with so many ways to color and shape your sounds it's easily the single most inspirational and fun tool I own. It's just plain fun, and has transformed the recording process for me. Now, I can't wait to get home from work, turn on the apollo and explore!

fantastic soundig, very easy to use interface.
it has almost no latency when using the input console.
the daw latency could be better a little bit shorter (needed when plugins from the daw are required on the input signal and direct monitoring is not possible)
the plugins are great, most of them are easy to use and color the sound in a great way. fast working and good results.

No Doubts
Since the quad was added to my set up, my production has shot up another level. The demonstrations they have out on it are good but does you no justice until you get get it. It almost seem unreal. The quality is impeccable and I have yet to push the limits. It most definitely takes the load off of your MAC or PC, which I have both but so far it's seamless with the MAC. I am glad I made the choice to get it. Although I haven't looked all the way into it. I am looking to see if it's expandable to where I can add more inputs. I am hoping they add midi to it as well. Still, you cannot deny the quality this unit brings to your production. Although I believe I had great quality coming out of here, this just took the quality to another plateau!!!

Amazing box!
Bought my Apollo Quad for a on-location recording project. It's been just a week of working with it and I'm so happy that I'm seriously thinking about ditching my actual recording system at my studio for this one!

Outstanding Quality & Sonic Performance
Having been a UAD owner since UAD-1 and more recently a UAD-2 Solo Laptop I was already familiar w the impeccable plug-in recreations of sought after studio gear, so the Apollo was a most welcome offering that I sought as a tool in my studio. The Apollo Duo found a home in my rack last month and at first sight, it was clear it was built w quality throughout. Engineering and design are top notch. But how does it sound as an audio interface? Stellar. Massive headroom, crystal clear and warm mic pre's and high output-of course the specs on the site here speak for themselves. You will not be disappointed. It's solid and the software has been 100% reliable under heavy usage. I consider it a bargain when compared to competition. Buy one. Love it!

Incredible (and I never use that word lightly)
The title says it all. Having gotten used to recording at home being an exercise in sonic compromise, I never thought I would be able to have a compact system capable of what the apollo does. To be able to track drums using no outboard hardware and 3 to 4 plugins per track (plus the insert send) is quite a magical experience, and nary a hiccup was encountered in processing, my computer never even strained- and that's with the 4 channels plus send coming off the apollo and another 4 channels routing through it via ADAT.
I'm glad i waited so long to do a major system upgrade, I had waited 4 years or so since my last major purchase (the digi rack), but I feel like the apollo is skipping a few years into the future...

Some issues...
Hi!
I have some problems when I'm starting up my gear. Sometimes I get error messages saying that the plug-ins not are working. The messages started to appear after appr. two weeks.
And don´t forget to speed up the work with the multiple unit!

"home studio interface"...
So, No Routing, No AES, No MIDI, No Master, No Playback control!, Only 2 Aux Buses, No Separate Monitoring.. And many-many other Problems... Only InputOutput interface, 4 pre's, and UAD Card...
Need to Hard Work on it!

Apollo
Apollo interface is by far the best and most advanced realtime UAD I have ever used.
It is the most advanced unit that gives a quality of use and sound that is beyond any interfaces. Truly a great UAD processor.

Best purchase I could have made.
The time came that I needed to update my converters, I couldn't have made a better choice, UAD is absolutely amazing. Blows all other plugins out of the water, the converters rock the pre's are awesome, so clean. I'm so pleased with the quality, the mixer interface, as I mentioned the UAD platform. The UA community is great! As a professional I have to rely on this equipment daily and it has proven to be a reliable powerful piece of equipment! 5 stars UA Im looking forward to future UAD pluggins

Apollo is absolutely awesome, recording/ monitoring is very easy and the sound is amazing.

Only thing; I'm a little disappointed in Uaudio for not being kind to me for qualifying me for the plug in promo offer, I bought my Apollo half of November just before the announcement of this promo, Unfortunately early bird customers getting punished for trusting and buying the product to fast.
Next time I wait till discount before buying a product...

immaculate gear....
The Apollo is simply a totally pro audio interface that does exactly what it advertises. The sound quality is immaculate and the setup (thunderbolt) was extremely easy and intuitive.

Amazing
I love the Apollo. It is the best thing that could have happened to my studio setup. The console is excellent, the converters and preamps sound great, and the plugins are unreal!!
