Its a very good emulation
i never write reviews normally but the Pultec is great. Its worth the money if you're after an analogue EQ sound then you'll enjoy using it.

Subtle but nice improvements
I'm quite pedantic when it comes to sound, subjecting new gear & plugins to a set of tests until I'm convinced that it can achieve the quality that I like. The legacy EQP1A has long been on my list of EQ plugins to use when mixing. Although the new version comes close to nulling with the legacy version, I still like the subtle differences. It produces a slightly less brittle sound when boosting bright sources and it's great for achieving a good bass sound. The extra filters are a bonus.

Classic EQ!!
Worked like a charm. The older version Pultec saw a lot of use here and this updated version, to my ears, is certainly an improvement! The only small detail I like about the first version is having the Mid-Band visible on one plug, this one you have to navigate between the two; three if you want to include the LP/HP. It'd be nice to have the option to have them all visible in one instance

Its a tough one
I used to use the legacy version on my drums with superb results. I initially couldnt hear how htese new versions were that much better than what i used previously but one of the three really hit the spot now I cant live wihtout it. I'm sure one of the three emulations will hit the spot for you.

Possibly the best analog sound?
Been a pleasure experiencing the remodelling of the collection. It has provided great warmth to my mixes and been used in every mix application. It's a little taxing on the UAD, but just need more power!

Great on drums!
I use it mostly on my drums tracks... kick, snare, overs and drums buss.
I like the color it gives! I give 4 stars because it is not very user friendly. They are very different from each other and you will have to do some studying on how they behave and the applications they will sound their best.

Awesome Plugin
I grabbed it on winter sale. I personally dont really see that much of difference between the legacy version versus the newer version except that it has 1173 with 2 to 1 ratio with slower attack. Awesome plugin for sure tho.

Turn Up
The pultec EQ's have been remade by several companies as plugins but the UAD's are my favorite. Like most of the vintage remakes UAD do they seem to be accurate to the original and love to be driven. I find these sound great when you start to crank things and settle them in to the tracks your using them on. My only complaint is there is no complete channel strip like they have on the legacy versions.

Fairchild Limiters
Great sounding compressor I love to use on a variety of sources. The addition of the HR control and SC filter gives it a lot of flexibility as well.
T. Meagher
excellent
This Fairchild emulation really drives when you want it to. Kind of like a really cool distortion effect.

Same vibes than the hardware!
The only reason I don't give this collection the 5th star is because I had the privilege of working with the Pultec hardware just once and that was a long time ago, so I can't really compare...
Despite this, I remember perfectly the feeling and vibes that the Pultec hardware bring to the project I was working, and I can say this plug-in brings those sensations the same way.
Vintage EQ with color for your mixes!

It´s a fair child...
I really liked the sound of this one... I never even saw a real Fairchild in my life, but I have to tell you, the sound of this plugin made me wonder how good the real thing is.
Quite satisfied.
Peace.

Value for money.
Value for money. Excellent plug in! Takes all the unwanted highs and mid highs out for me every time, adding the vog plug in with the pultec passive eq is magic.

Fairchild Tube Limiter Collection - Very decent plugin.
Very interesting plugin. Unlike the old version has some differences: 1. Has a more critical attitude to the level of the input signal 2. Button "HR" makes magical things with source 3. Compression itself works very properly, without undue influences. Plugin deserves to be in the collection.

plus and minus...
670 is a little more grabby, less subtle, then original version, at similar reduction 'levels', at least.
not sure yet if it's much of an improvement.
but mix knob and low high pass detection is cool.
i think original fairchild plugin is a great tool.
especially on the mix bus.

Work well.
After the awful compressors Logic has to offer, these actually do their job well. Can be quite un-noticeable when doing their job which is pretty impressive. Some colour towards brightness a fair bit, for us the basic LA-2A was the most transparent.

Perfect for tube warmth for tracks
If u want to add some tube warmth to your tracks then this plugin does really well.
Just run the signal through it for the Fairchild vibe

Can't Be Beat.
Should be known, I've been a Waves user for YEARS, and had I known better I would have trashed their emulations of the 1176 for these a long while ago!
I can not stress enough the night and day difference in applying these 3 instead. There's none of that "make-believe" noise floor that Waves thinks we need in our mixes, and the clarity and punch is mind blowing.
I used to harp on UAD for being too expensive, needing their own DSP power, and now I can not live without my UAD arsenal. I've thrown the rest away, Waves, IK Nomad, there's no comparison.

Smooth....just smooth
I haven't had this eq long, but I've been tracking all guitars through the Apollo on the way in with the Studer, followed by the whole Pultec Passive EQ Collection. I only use it for character really. I tame some trouble spots, but for the most part, I'm using it for a color. It does a fantastic job of that. They're great for adding some beef around the instrument they're on. I've never used the hardware version, so I can't compare the two, but my ears say this is a good plug.

Love 'm plain and simple.
Again a hitter what more fancy words do I need to spill.
I just don't want anyone to ever fancy words just want them to always fancy their ears and you simply make that happen. You blew me away again last time and now just barely weeks after you're doing it again. A fully portable studio who could have ever imagined that.
All you leave me to say is that I'm just happy all these years ago I've trusted my ears and nothing but my ears and I can leave you on bringing the rest.
I know it's an understatement but I just quickly had to do it still just hoping it will do some good within the short amount of time I had available.
For any one to see don't read LISTEN! Throw it on as much audio as possible!
